How does IPCheck measure my address?

It asks two servers on different networks which address your connection comes from, separately for IPv4 and IPv6. When both agree, you see "Both servers agree".

What does "IPv6 leak" mean?

Your VPN is on, but your IPv6 traffic leaves through your Wi-Fi or mobile network instead of the VPN, so sites can see your real IPv6 address.

How do I add a widget?

iPhone and iPad: touch and hold the Home Screen, tap Edit, then Add Widget, and search for IPCheck. Mac: click the date and time in the menu bar, choose Edit Widgets, and add IPCheck to Notification Center, or right-click the desktop and choose Edit Widgets.

Why are alerts on iPhone not instant?

iOS lets apps check in the background only occasionally, so a change is noticed when iOS allows. For alerts within seconds, turn on Monitor 24/7 in IPCheck on your Mac.

Why does a website show a different address?

iCloud Private Relay changes what Safari shows, not what apps see. Some browsers and proxies do the same.
